Club Owners,



The final draft day is upon us, alas! First and foremost, I want to thank you for being a part of the Continental Football League. I hope you have just about shaped up your teams and gathered some valuable players to play for you throughout this past week of the draft. There are a couple things I would like to have as part of a little discussion will be outlined down below. However, some upcoming league dates:



* March 10th - Late Free Agency begins

* March 12th - Training Camp

* March 14th - Preseason game week 1

* March 21st - Regular Season Game week 1



I'm excited in looking forward to seeing how well some teams do our first year. I want this to be an enjoyable league for any and all who join, newcomers to MFN, or veterans of the site. With that said, I want each of you to have a voice and opinion on certain aspects of the league. One of the things I'd like to do, if a majority is on board, is diversify a little bit from the standard typical "NFL" style that some, or most, leagues are set up. Meaning, after our inaugural season, if you'd like to change your team name and logo, you may reach out to me towards the end of the regular season. If this is something many would be interested in doing, I will create a thread towards the latter quarter of the regular season where you may submit a new team name. I can get a logo created, several, and present them to you or you can make your own. Team names will have to follow MFN site rules and must not be offensive, derogatory, or discriminatory. More information on this will be released towards the halfway point of the regular season.



As club owners, I value every one of you. Consider yourselves as part of our version of the "Board of Directors" (Board of GMs, in this instance? ha). This being said, when it comes to simulations running on holidays, or things similar of the like, I'll put out a thread or a poll to determine what the majority thinks where we can all voice our opinions. I prefer a democratic approach where people are involved in decision-making when running things. Unless a problem arises where it needs immediate attention and action to be handled immediately, expect yourselves to have a voice and say in what goes on in the CFL.



For now, that about wraps it up. Expect more information on the team name changes and how it will work as we approach the midway point of the regular season if it's something that seems to be favorable for many of you. I want you to feel at home with your team. You don't have to change if it's something you aren't interested in, so keep that in mind. It's all optional.
